March 2–6, 2026 marks both Read Across America Week and Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Week. Because these two celebrations fall during the same week each year, Media Services and Student Services are excited to once again collaborate on a shared Spirit Week that highlights the powerful connection between reading and social-emotional growth. Ashley Elementary is proud to participate in this Spirit Week!
Reading is a meaningful way to develop SEL skills that are essential for academic success, fulfilling careers, healthy relationships, and responsible community engagement. Through stories, students build empathy, self-awareness, resilience, and a deeper understanding of themselves and others.
