Hablos Espanol on ChalkboardWelcome to ‘La Voz’ (the voice)!  This is the new Spanish newsletter to keep parents informed of what we are doing in Spanish class each month.  Just a little note to let parents know what we have covered so far:  In August/September, we reviewed the basic information on the study guide which was sent home for students to practice their Spanish for the Spanish assessment which was started the week before Thanksgiving break.  We also discussed famous Hispanic Americans from September 15 to October 15 for Hispanic Heritage month.

a Person giving a speechOn Thursday January 18th there will be a school level Civic Oration. The Modern Woodmen of America developed this contest to offer students an opportunity to develop skills in clear thinking and public speaking. By preparing and giving a three- to five-minute speech for this contest, participants learn skills that will help with school projects
